En el trabajo con biopolímeros encontré el concepto de membrana: barreras que, al mismo tiempo, separan y conectan. Son superficies selectivamente permeables y flexibles, que permiten el tránsito, el ir y venir. A partir de esta exploración surgió un interés por los puntos de encuentro: zonas de contacto donde puede emerger un diálogo, donde la interrelación entre cuerpos se hace visible.

“Encuentro” ensaya ese primer contacto con lo no humano. Torpe y ambiguo, mi propio cuerpo se ensambla con fragmentos del cuerpo de la tierra: naturales, artificiales o procesados. La instalación invita a transitar entre membranas y otros cuerpos, a experimentar la fricción y la apertura de estos vínculos inciertos.

While working with biopolymers, I found the concept of membrane: barriers that both separate and connect. They are selectively permeable, flexible surfaces that allow passage, an ongoing movement of coming and going. From this exploration an interest in points of encounter emerged: zones of contact where dialogue can arise, where the interrelation between bodies becomes visible.

"Encuentro" explores that first contact with the non-human. Clumsy and ambiguous, my own body assembles with fragments of the earth’s body, natural, artificial, or processed. The installation invites one to move among membranes and other bodies, to experience the friction and openness of these uncertain bonds.
