Gravitando: registros de un enredo
2025
Gravity tends to go unnoticed, even though it sustains every gesture and the distance between bodies. When I stop taking it for granted, my body feels different: heavier, more vulnerable, more attuned to the earth.
These records on paper arise from an exercise of attention to that shared force that keeps us entangled. In the video, my body approaches, adjusts, responds to other bodies and to the environment. Movement functions as a way of perceiving and measuring distance, closeness, and contact.
I use gravity to amplify my embodied experience and, in doing so, to sharpen my sensitivity to what surrounds me. There is tension, resistance, imbalance. That discomfort — together with the water of the inks — alters the marks on the paper, leaving a visible trace of physical encounters, of relationships that are not always seen, but are felt.
